When it comes to finding and choosing a care home, the family of a potential resident is increasingly likely to go online to make their initial search – so it's crucial that there are positive things to find about your home(s)… and not just your website.
Once again, thank-you for a brilliant job. You never let me down! Debbie Gilard, Communications Manager, Quantum Care
We call it "managing your online reputation", and it takes a variety of forms – but mostly it boils down to two key activities: counteracting any negative stories which might, unfortunately, occasionally appear online and, most importantly, creating a positive profile.
This can be as simple as setting up and maintaining a nicely branded Twitter account or Facebook page, where you might share news of events or achievements, what your residents have been up to, or perhaps examples of best practice. It can also be a good way of keeping the families of your residents in the loop! For the more committed, a blog which discusses key issues and comments on (and links to) interesting and relevant articles can help to create a professional, knowledgable and caring identity.
Don't know where to start? Haven't got the time? Care Home Creatives can give you as much or as little support as you need; from setting things up for you to maintain yourself, to writing and keeping everything updated on your behalf.
